In Remembrance of Vince
24th Feb 2015
As some of you may know, for the past fourteen years I have been part of the contemporary string quartet Elysian Quartet. These guys are my band, my musical family, my inspiration and my dearest friends. At the end of January our beautiful, brilliant violist Vincent Sipprell tragically died. The loss has been devastating for all of us who knew and loved him and for our musical community at large. Vince was so many things, a kind, funny, extraordinarily talented, crazily imaginative, inspiring, soulful and generous man. I miss him so much.
In remembrance of Vince, Elysian Quartet is raising money for the wonderful charity CALM, which works to help men suffering a mental health crisis and to prevent male suicide. To make donating super easy we have set up a page here. I’d like to invite anyone who feels moved to do so, to donate something, however small. Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated and everyone who sent such kind words, love and support these past weeks. Your kindness has meant everything to Emma, Jennymay and me.
